Description:

The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most dominant teams in NFL history. They were the first team to win four Super Bowls, and with their victory in Super Bowl XL, they have rejoined the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers in the front rank of teams with five Lombardi Trophies. America's Game features exclusive interviews with Andy Russell, Franco Harris, and "Mean" Joe Greene (1974); Lynn Swann, Dwight White and Jack Lambert (1975); Randy Grossman, Rocky Bleier, Joe Greene, and Mel Blount (1978); John Banaszak, John Stallworth and L.C. Greenwood (1979); and Jerome Bettis, Bill Cowher and Joey Porter (2005). Join NFL Films as they tell the stories of the Steelers' Super Bowl teams of the '70s-and the 2005 Steelers club that won "One for the Thumb."

5The Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers x 5Oct 02, 2008
NFL Films does an excellent job compiling Pittsburgh Steelers memories from Super Bowls 9, 10, 13, 14 & 40. This is a "must have" collection for any fan of the franchise.

5A Definitive and Comprehensive Collection of the Five Time ChampionsJun 26, 2008
Being a steelers fan since kindergarten in 1976, I am dating myself, this is a truly enjoyable look into the team that I have loved and followed for the past thirty years. I give it a five star rating for the way it was produced and pakaged. I like the use of former players from the glory days offering incite, in particular Mike wagner and Mel Blount, who were my favorite players when I was growing up. It's also great to see recently retired coach Bill Cowher show a softer side when he comments on his family suffering through all of the disappiontments of those five losses in the Championship games. The loss in Super Bowl XXX was particularly difficult to swallow.
If there is one disappointment with the disc, it's the absence of any perspectives from Bradshaw for the first four disc and Hines Ward, not having a spot on the interviews for Superbowl XL, true Joey Porter had a spectacular playoff performance, but it was Wrad who was the mvp and has become the face of the franchise following Bettis' retirement. That said, this disc is proudly shelved among all of my other Steeler discs and collectives.
This is a must have for any true fan of the Black and Gold...

5Steeler fans waited.....a long time May 03, 2008
One for the thumb. When I started rooting for the Steelers, I was ten years old. I've lived my entire life in Northern California. I was raised to be an A's fan. My father would always take me to A's games. But he never took me to any Raider games. My father didn't start rooting for the Raiders until Jim Plunket was on the team. By then it was too late. I was A Steeler fan. This was, of course, after they won their forth Super Bowl.
So I waited. Over Twenty Five years. Never did I consider rooting for another team. It was the greatest feeling in the world to see them win one for the thumb. Every person who had ever known me, known that I was a Steeler fan, would be thinking of me while they were being presented the Lombardi Trophy. When your team wins the Super Bowl when you are twelve years old is one thing. When you are in your mid thirties, it is something else. The extra content not broadcast on NFL Network makes these discs worth the price. Besides, only three teams have the five disc box sets. And never forget...."the wheels on the bus go round and round"

5Steeler Dominance!!!Dec 15, 2007
This Steeler's Super Bowl collection from NFL Films is essential for any fan that bleeds black and gold. All the former player commentaries and DVD extras are excellent. I wish there were more. Rocky Blier retelling Coach Noll's "motivational" stories on the 1978 DVD will definitely make you laugh and Joey Porter is great as he talks about the 2005 season. I only wish Terry Bradshaw and Coach Noll had contributed some commentary because they are glaringly absent from all the championship season DVDs.
